Police Arrest Alfa For S*xually Assaulting 17 Year Old Girl In Lagos

raping case

The Lagos state police command have arrested a Muslim cleric, Abdullahi Omobolaji popularly known as Alfa over allegations of s*xual assault on a 17 year old girl identified as Idowu at Bakare lane in the Agege area of Lagos state.

According to Punch, the assault on the girl started in November 2014 after the 40 year old Alfa who hails from Kwara state lured her to his room which he used for spiritual consultation and claimed to have seen a vision that she had been placed under a curse by a man and that the only way she can be redeemed was for him (Alfa) to have s*x with her. Narrating what transpired between herself and the Alfa, Idowu said
"It started in November, 2014 when Alfa Abdullahi called me and said I should always come to meet him if I needed anything since my dad was dead and my mum was unable to cater to all my needs. Later, he told me that he had seen a vision, adding that a man had placed an evil mark on me. He asked me to rinse my hand with cold water which he the put on the fire. When the water finally boiled and I brought it down, I saw two cowries and a ring in the water. Alfa said that was what the man put inside my body and he (Alfa) was the only man that could remove the evil mark from me. He said he must sleep with me three times, and that was how he slept with me. He said I must never tell anyone what happened between us and if I did, I would die just like my father did a few years back"
Idowu said a few days after her first encounter, Alfa called her to go and buy an egg which he instructed her to rub all over her body
"Then he said I should break it. I found seven needles in the egg. Alfa then said he would have to sleep with me seven times. I pleaded with him not to since he only recently slept with me three times, but he insisted on doing it, “she said
Idowu's mother who is a Fashion designer said it was one of her customers who informed her of the development. She confronted Alfa who reportedly beat her up for accusing him of such a crime. Men of the Isokoko Police Division in Agege were later invited and Alfa was arrested last Wednesday, March 11th.

However, a family member of the Alfa who spoke anonymously said the Alfa and Idowu were in a relationship and that she was only framing the Alfa
"The girl framed up the cleric. They have been sleeping with each other since last year.”he said
Meanwhile the Lagos state Police command spokesperson, Kenneth Nwosu while confirming the matter said the case would be called up in court today March 16th.

Female Student Goes Blind After Being Slap By Principal’s Secretary {PHOTOS}

Before January 29, 2015, the girl’s eyes could be said to be perfect, going by the picture she took with her friends the same month when the school celebrated its 50th anniversary. But the tide changed against Iyanu and it seems she has lost an eye.

Sunday Tribune gathered that the event that led to the change in Iyanu’s life started when she was allegedly slapped by one Mrs Funke Fashina, said to be the secretary to the principal of the school. And what was her offence? The woman reportedly saw her and two other girls emerging from an unused room within the school building and inquired to know what they were doing there. Before they could reply, she landed a slap on Iyanu’s face first, and subsequently others.

The girl’s right eye was said to have developed a problem and had got worse, with the University College Hospital, Ibadan (UCH), saying that she would require a surgery. Iyanu told Sunday Tribune that she could no longer see with the right eye.

Narrating her experience to Sunday Tribune, Iyanu said:
“On Thursday, January 29, students were having an Agriculture class, so those of us offering Food and Nutrition left the class and three of us went to stay in one of the rooms in the building.

“We saw our teacher from the window of the room so we wanted to step out to go and meet her. As we were about to leave the room, we saw the secretary to the Principal, Mrs Funke Fasina. She asked us what we were doing in that room but before we could explain, she slapped us one after the other.

“By the time I got home, my left eye had turned red and painful. I told my mother what happened but she dismissed me, saying that I would not have been slapped if I didn’t do something wrong.

On Monday February 9, my mother followed me to school and the principal asked my mother to take me to the hospital.

“We went to Catholic Hospital, Eleta, Ibadan and we were told to do the scan of the eye. By then, my eye had become bulgy and I was no longer seeing clearly. We went to St. Gregory’s Ultrasound Centre, Yemetu. From there, we went to the University College Hospital, Ibadan and I was told that I would undergo surgery. We were told to bring N300,000 as deposit. My parents have reported the case at the police station in Alakia Adelubi and the woman admitted that she slapped me.”

Iyanuoluwa said before the slap, she never had any pain or itch in her eye, so the report that she had a problem with her eye does not hold water. “Now I can no longer see with my right eye and I am going through a lot of pains,” she stated.

Iyanu’s mother, Mrs Damilola Dahunsi, corroborated her daughter’s narration, saying that she didn’t take the incident serious initially.

“To my surprise, the eye started swelling up. I followed my daughter to school on Monday, February 9 and the principal was shocked to see the eye.

“We went to Mrs Fashina and I begged her to give us an antidote if she used a charm on my daughter but she denied using charm to slap my daughter. My daughter never had any eye problem since she was born.

“We took Iyanuoluwa to UCH and we were told that she would go through surgery. We did CT scan at UCH but the result was cornered and we never saw it. We were told to go home when we could not pay the N300, 000 we were asked to deposit.

“Unfortunately, the woman who slapped my daughter refused to do anything financially and my brother who went to the Commissioner for Education was told that efforts were on to go round schools for students to contribute money towards my daughter’s treatment.”

Sunkanmi Ojewumi, Iyanu’s uncle, decried the attitude of a staff of UCH (names withheld), whom he said tried to frustrate all their efforts because she is Mrs Fashina’s in-law.

“We didn’t get the result of the test carried out in UCH and the police at Alakia-Adelubi did not get it also. To our surprise, the result found its way to TESCOM where the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Mr. Giwa, told me he had seen the result and it indicated that the girl might have had underlying problems that resulted in the eye problem.

“He said the only way they could help was to go round schools and seek donations from students, which TESCOM would add to. It was claimed that she had a tumor in the eye. But we will not accept the result because the girl never had eye problem.

“We appeal to the government to come to the girl’s aid. We don’t have any money and the father’s shop at Oki area of Ibadan was razed recently and he lost goods worth millions of naira. The mother sells provisions.”

Sunday Tribune gathered that the case was eventually transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation, Iyaganku and was arraigned to court on Monday, March 9 for wounding. This was confirmed by the police’s spokesperson in Oyo State, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu.

Prophet TB Joshua Speaks On Coming Elections; Warns Of Plane Crash

On Sunday 15th March 2015, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a warning to Nigerians over the upcoming elections, further adding that he foresaw an imminent plane crash within Nigeria.

Pray for Nigeria because I am seeing a plane crash,” Joshua stated in a service televised live via Christian channel Emmanuel TV. “It’s not a good thing to lose personalities again,” he added, specifying that prayer and fasting should be especially offered from 19th to 23rd.

Addressing the contentious elections scheduled to hold on March 28th, TB Joshua said:
"The challenge Nigeria is facing – on the day of voting, when you drop your votes in the ballot box, you will know who PDP is and who APC is. It’s a parable; very delicate. Because everybody plays a game; we deceive ourselves. ‘So this man voted for this party but he’s in that party'."

Joshua stated that a dark cloud was hanging over the nation. “The cloud is darker. When it is about to rain, you cannot see in front again,” he vividly described.

The cleric further emphasised that vengeance was nigh for the perpetrators of the building collapse that left 116 dead last year September, insisting it was an attack. “There must be vengeance concerning what happened here. Both the slaves and masters must pay the price.”

He stated he was unhappy due to the innocent blood spilled in his church premises and the refusal of those responsible to admit. “God gave me an order that I should continue this work – so I must do it. Nothing can separate me from the work of God but your prophet is not happy. I will be happy when vengeance comes,” he stated, with a markedly stern countenance.

My Husband Must Complete His 2 Terms In Office – Patience Jonathan

The first lady of Nigeria, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has insisted that her husband must remain in office for eight years to complete his two terms in office, despite moves by the opposition.

Mrs. Jonathan made the declaration during the PDP women rally, under the auspices of Women for Change and Development Initiative, in Benin, Edo State.

A mild drama ensued shortly before the First Lady’s address, when two men, said to be aggrieved PDP youths, tore down some banners bearing the image of the President’s wife.

They were, however, whisked away by some security operatives at the arena.

Also, unable to bare the scorching heat, two women fainted but were later revived by a medical team provided by the party.

Addressing the women, she said that the presidency had been occupied for eight years by other
geopolitical zone and wondered why the South South should be denied the opportunity.

She also noted that the Jonathan administration had performed creditably in various sectors, such as transport and education, and by her assessment, was satisfactory.
