Nigerians Need Buhari Now More Than Ever Says Amaechi

As the nation suffers the pains inflicted by insurgency daily, the DG of Buhari Campaign Organisation, Gov Rotimi Amaechi has said the country needs a strong-willed leader like General Muhammadu Buhari urgently to come in and contain terrorism and other vices in the country.

Amaechi who stated this at an interactive session with journalists in Lagos said when Chadian rebels invaded Borno State in the past, it was Buhari that chased them away, saying it takes a strong leader to achieve such security feat.

In his words, “How many Nigerians remember that Buhari is a strong leader? You need a strong leader to chase away Boko Haram or Boko Haram will chase us away. There are reports that 32 persons have been killed in Bauchi and Gombe, so you need a Buhari to actually fight the insurgents.

“The attitude of the federal government that it is a northern business is bad. Let them go there. It may not be what they intend but that is the way people read it. Whether people say it or not, you will see clearly that the federal government has not done well enough in the area of insurgency.

“It is not because we have a bad military. Our soldiers are well trained. It is because they are not well funded. Between the period that the money gets to the military and the period it is released, some amounts of money disappear.

“So, we have to deal with the issue of corruption and that is where the military is having problem. If they are not well equipped, they cannot fight insurgency.

“You want to kill 50 military officers who are saying please equip us properly; we can’t go to the battle front without the right weapon; now you are sending a soldier to fight a man with RPG and you gave him old AK47 that cannot even shoot. You are risking his life. They have a right to protest that. You don’t kill them for that.”

Amaechi assured that a Buhari-led government if elected in 2015 will deal with issues realistically.

ISIS Leader, Al-Baghdadi's Wife and Daughter Detained in Lebanon

The Lebanese army claim they have detained the wife and daughter of ISIS terror group leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as they crossed from Syria nine days ago.

According to Jerusalem Post, the woman identified as Saja al-Dulaimi, an Iraqi, was reportedly travelling with a fake passport when she was arrested and detained in coordination with "foreign intelligence", according to a senior Lebanese political source and security official.

A Lebanese security official said that a DNA test was conducted on the girl travelling with the woman to verify it was Baghdadi's child. It proved positive.

The arrest is a blow to the terror leader as the wife and daughter could be used against his group, especially as a bargaining chip. The terror group has captured many foreigners.

There is currently no immediate reaction from Islamic State websites.

Suspected Shebab Rebels Massacre 36 in NorthEast Kenya

Gunmen in Kenya attacked a quarry at Mandera town in North Kenya this morning, killing 36 Christians. According to multiple eye witnesses, the gunmen stormed the place, ordered all the non-Muslims, about 36 of them, to step away from the Muslims and then shot them all dead. One witness told Reuters that four of the victims had been beheaded.

According to local media reports, the unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Somalia Basedal-Shabab group that killed 28 people in an attack on a bus targeting non-Muslims in the same area last week, attacked the quarry workers very early this morning while they were sleeping.

Kenya's military troop and the Red Cross have since arrived the scene of the attack.
Police spokesman Zipporah Mboroki confirmed the attacks but said the force would provide an exact toll of those killed later. Media reports said most of the victims were laid out on the ground and shot in the head, a style of killing used in the recent attack on bus passengers.

Kenya has suffered a series of attacks since invading Somalia in 2011 to attack the Shebab, and its troops are still in Somalia as part of an African Union force battling the Islamists.

Media reports from Somalia said the Shebab's radio station has hailed the killing of "crusaders", although there has not yet been formal claim of responsibility from the militants.

The group said it carried out the recent attack against the bus passengers in retaliation for Kenyan police raids against suspected radical mosques in Kenya's port city of Mombasa, the scene of mounting religious tensions.

This is rather so unfortunate. May God help us L
